Hello everyone,
Just a reminder today, August 11, 2026, is Erie Gives Day. This is a great opportunity to help financially support the Firefighters Historical Museum.
The Museum was established in 1968 and has been at its current location at West 5th and Chestnut in Erie, Pa since May of 1976.
The Staff at the Museum is all volunteer so any donations go directly to helping us cover the costs of such things as utilities, maintenance and capital improvements to the building.
The building itself is the former Engine #4 firehouse built in 1903 so there are always projects to preserve it for the future.
Donations may be made online at eriegives.org until midnight tonight or by phone at 814-454-0843 until 8:00pm tonight. There is a minimum of $25.00 for any donation.
The Board of Directors thanks you in advance for your consideration.

The Firefighters Historical Museum was established to create a centralized collection of items of firefighting heritage as a historical and educational legacy for Erie, Pennsylvania and its citizens of tomorrow. In addition, the Museum serves as a permanent tribute to firefighters of Erie, the country and the world, whose dedication and devotion to duty, at the risk of their own lives, is an eternal vigilant protection for the citizenry whose lives they are entrusted with.
The Firefighters Historical Museum was founded in 1968 and moved into its current location, the former Erie Fire Department Engine #4 firehouse a few years later. The Museum officially opened at the corner of West 5th and Chestnut on May 8, 1976.
